Lexmark filed a patent infringement complaint last week with the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Both suits accuse 24 companies that import replacement cartridges for Lexmark laser printers of violating 15 patents owned by Lexmark.

Microsoft announced on August 4 that it has settled its patent infringement case with Salesforce. While the terms of the agreement aren’t being disclosed “Microsoft is being compensated by Salesforce.com,” according to a Microsoft press release.

VirnetX won the initial round in its patent-infringement case against Microsoft over VPN technology.
